COMPREHENSIVE INITIAL EXAM:
At your first visit, we will take full mouth x-rays then Dr. Concepcion will do a complete examination of your teeth, oral tissue, screen for oral cancer, a TMJ exam, and assess the condition of your gums and bone. lf possible, Dr. C will clean your teeth or reschedule if necessary.

With the information gathered, she'll put together a treatment plan, explain what the treatment entails, and answer any questions you may have.
Our treatment coordinator will answer your questions regarding dental insurance benefits. There may be an annual maximum, annual deductible, cc-payments or other treatments that may not be a covered benefit. She will also set-up financial arrangements and any future appointments.

SCHEDULING TREATMENT:
We realize that we all lead busy lives, so we have established guidelines to help your appointment run smoothly and on schedule. For any restorative and other major treatment, like fillings, root canals, crowns and bridges, extractions, deep clearings, and sedation cases (Nitrous oxide/ Valium), are scheduled for morning appointments when Dr. C has "fresh'' hands, so you may need to miss work or school.

This system of scheduling allows us to see you on time and give you our undivided attention. Late arrivals may disrupt the flow of our schedule, so in fairness to our other scheduled patients, we may not be able to finish the planned procedure for that day or it may even have to be rescheduled all together. lf you are running late please contact our office immediately to be certain that we can make the best use of our time together. If a scheduled appointment may need to be canceled, please call and reschedule as soon as possible. Less than a 24 hour notice of cancellations and broken appointments may incur a fee.

SPECIALIST REFERRALS:
Occasionally, Dr. C may have to refer you to a specialist. lf indicated she'll refer you to one of our nearby professionals. Once the specialist finishes the procedure needed, they will refer you back to our office to finish treatment and for maintenance.

SEDATION ANESTHESIA:
Dr.C is certified by the Dental Board of California to sedate children and she offers Nitrous Oxide anesthesia to both adults and children for those patients that may need a little assistance.

AFTER HOURS/ EMERGENCIES:
You may contact our office after hours where your message will be recorded by an answering machine and a staff will return your call the next business day. If you are having a dental emergency, call the office and the machine will give you information on how to reach Dr. C after hours.
